I’m looking to by a house in northeast N.C.
basically on the border of VA still on the
coast but the houses I’m finding are really
expensive and we are looking at the most
150,000. Any websites that may help?

If you specifically the city or streen you want, get the zip code from usps.com and then go to realtor.com and search from there. Also contact local realtors. They are your best source.
Good luck!

Honestly, I don’t think you’ll find anything nice in that price range. Home values in that area skyrocketed, so you’re going to have a hard time finding a decent home for $150k max.
I wish you the best of luck though.

Try http://www.gonehome.com. There are dozens of Realtor web-sites that list homes that is very extensive – if you google it. There

Although Realtor.com has a good range of properties, a local realtor is needed to make sense of the listings. You don’t know if there’s a cell tower just out of shot, power lines that have been airbrushed out of a picture, if the area is low-cost but up and coming, or run down and dangerous. These are the things a good realtor will know.
I’d certainly scope out a few on realtor.com but there is no substitute for a realtor.
