I’m looking to rent my house and I’d like to do a little research. I’ve seen the same MLS reports printed for rental properties the same as for houses for sale.
They normally indicate monthly rental price, if it’s furnished or not, deposit.
Is there a way for me to do a search in that database?
I look at rental listings on craigslist.org for my neighborhood to see what the market will bear. Some city listings let you filter precisely by neighborhood (like http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/apa/). If your city listing doesn’t have that feature, search for your area with keywords (like "downtown").
I also rely on my rental management service to suggest what to charge and when it’s time to raise the rent.
Good luck!
Not without being a subscriber to that MLS service. You could ask for a local Agent to run you that report.
Good luck!
PS: You see what is listed on http://www.craigslist.org which is mainly FSBO but some agents put their properties in there too.
