I’m looking to purchase a house, and I’ve decided that if I’m going to buy a house it’ll be a forclosed property, as in many cases a forclosed property is cheaper and most of the forclosed properties near where I live now are between 1-10yrs. old and in very nice condition. Since I am a first time house buyer, I’m not really 100% sure where/how to get the lists of forclosed properties.
How would I find a list of forclosed houses in my area? Do I just walk into any bank ands ask for a list, or do I have to go to a relator or to a specific bank and ask for the listings?
And on the list of properties will there be a price listing as well?
Right now I’m just looking for information, not buying, so please don’t give me a sales pitch.
And please no chatspeak answers.

As always thanks in advance.
Thank you, Coby, but I don’t live in Wi.
Bidselect.com has foreclosed listings so does hud.gov check your state. We buy foreclosures and I use these sites faithfully their free and tell you how to contact someone who can show you the property. Be prepared though foreclosure properties are currently being marketed at about the same price as the non foreclosed properties because the market is being flooded and they normally require a lot more work and won’t appraise as highly. Good Luck P.S. the websites above show the prices that each property is listed at.
Bank foreclosures in my area are turned over to holding companies which then contract with a local agent.
Call a real estate agent, there is no list in my area, when a client calls for that information, I know because I search my MLS for foreclosures everyday.
Bidselect.com has HUD foreclosures
Check Realtytrac for addresses in your area.
Good Luck

Your best bet is to walk into any realestate agency and ask for a realtor. Explain your situation and make sure they understand EXACTLY what you want! they can either e-mail you new foreclosures or set up showings! if you don’t feel the agent is helping you find a new one!good luck in your search.if you need help in Wi. i’d be happy to help you.

you can get a realtor and they can find them for you..They are everywere now and you do not need lists like before…but they are harder to get because if they are a great deal you will have investors also looking at them…good luck!
