Check the site Buyerhunt.com. Its a new site, but it will be helpful for investors (esp in single family homes) because they can search to see how many buyers have registered in certain areas, such that more buyers = more demand = better investment.
Also, if you’re looking for multi-family props you can post a profile so that anyone selling a multi-family with what youre looking for can contact you.

Short sales rarely work….house showings are a waste of time. you’re better off offering a buyers agent bonus of like 500-750 $. that will encourage buyers agents to push your house more… but don’t get so pissed at your realtor for losing interest in you…if you keep canceling on her you are wasting her time and disregarding her marketing strategy (regardless of whether or not I think it’s a good one)…
bottom line, if you don’t sell your house soon it gets foreclosed on, then you’re fucked.

I’ve known several people in Ohio that have purchased home from the Sheriff auctions. The homes for sale there are the ones that have been foreclosed on and also ones that people have lost for not paying their property taxes.

Your situation sounds so typical in this market right now. The problem is that you both are frustrated. She is frustrated because she wants to sell your home and you are frustrated because you know your time is running out. Short sales are a nightmare and they take so much effort from all parties involved. Remember that realtors aren’t used to having to work to sell their listings and they are making a lot less money now and having to work 100 times harder.

Just hang in there with her until the end. At least you are getting showings and she is on you about letting her show it…. I know realtors who can’t even remember what properties they have listed and don’t even know when it is being shown.

Most agents allow you to search the MLS (real estate database) on their website. Alternatively, you can hook up with a new agent and pay a portion (or all) of their MLS dues in exchange for information.
