I have noticed in the Dom Rep north, that the house prices are very cheap compared to many other islands. Would you feel safe there?
I have lived here for 8-9 years and have never had a problem. First in Sosua and now in Cabrera and have enjoyed every day here.
There are still good buys here although in the last 7 years the prices have doubled at least. I am still buying.

Of course! The north part is better.
Houses are cheap and now prices are going down. A lot of people preffer Santiago and all those big cities, but i would say Salcedo. Salcedo is a city south from Santiago only like 20 mins and it is so fill with peace. People that care about others and it has beautiful places to visit.
