At least in North Texas all the foreclosures HUD houses and all the other houses are all in the MLS. The only ones that are not are individuals that decide to try and sell them without an agent (and those are often way overpriced).

The MLS often is downloaded to an agents website and is searchable by area and size and price and such.

You are likely to find that when you adjust for location and condition that the foreclosures are priced a little high. The cheapest one may be a couple going thru a divorce or having to move for some reason.

As long as you cancel your agreement with the original estate agent before you go to another you can change. If not, the first will want paying even if you sell it through the second one.
This buyers boss doing her conveyancing could be a conflict of interest for the solicitor. Its unethical possibly. Id phone the solicitor and ask for the complaints procedure. You can refuse to sell your house to anyone as long as youve not exchanged contracts.

I am currently looking at houses for sale on the internet. I have looked at many different houses in my area and some I have found are a mere $5000….??? I’ve seen a four bedroom for a few thousand dollars. They aren’t best area of town- the ghetto but why are these prices so low??? I’ve looked at many different sites.

do you plan on living there ? Are you going to be a landlord? if your answer is yes you need to contact a realtor in the area you are looking to purchase and they could send you ACTUAL listings from the mls and if your smart and you find a good realtor ask if they manage rentals if they do talk the situation over with them to see if they have a system in place for an absentee landlord. They may have an inspector they work with they trust and in turn you might benefit from the team the realtor has put together. I read the other day that people from europe are actually buying property in the states because prices are so cheap. If you have the stomach for it GO FOR IT!!!!!
